Responsible for the oversight and governance of project managers implementation large-scale, complex, engineering-oriented projects at operating nuclear power plants. Key functions overseen include business case development, investment proposal approval up to Board of Directors, project team staffing, oversight and management of project personnel, complex engineering and construction project contract negotiations and management, field construction implementation and project closeout activities.
Manager and oversee project development and implementation and project teams in accordance with regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures within project schedules and estimates. Supervises project activities.
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline generally associated with power plant licensing and operation or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
8 years experience in nuclear power design, project management, operations, licensing, or equivalent.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Technical understanding of nuclear generation and engineering principles, supervisory and management principles, and strong project management background and expertise. Outstanding communication, conflict management, project management, and change management skills.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Desired: SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR, Professional Engineering license, Project Management Profession certification.
