JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

Performs all flight and collateral duties as assigned. Conducts flights in accordance with FAA rules and regulations, company policy, and NBAA good operating procedures.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :

Participates fully in the Aviation Safety Management System. Ensures safety and security of passengers and aircraft during aircraft operations.

Obtains and evaluates all available weather and applicable NOTAMs to ensure flight can be safely accomplished (go/no-go decisions).

Modifies schedule, as necessary, corresponding to existing conditions (i.e., change order of destinations, wait for improving conditions, etc.). Determines aircraft condition, mechanical status, fuel, oil, oxygen requirements, and configuration for flight requirements, ensuring that the aircraft is airworthy, duly registered, and that all required documentation and operational information is onboard the aircraft.

Ensures that dispatch requirements are within the capability of assigned aircraft. Calculates aircraft weight and balance, fuel and performance required for acceptable margins of safety, ensuring that all flight planning requirements have been met.

Utilizes experience, knowledge and training to cope with abnormal or emergency situations.

Conducts pre-flight and post-flight inspections before and after each flight, respectively. Completes all post-flight administrative requirements and duties as specified in the company operations manual recording flight times and aircraft defects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education required of the position

Typically requires a college or university degree in related field or the equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position for Pilot in Command

5 years of flight experience as an FAA Commercial Rated Pilot and 4,000 hours Total Flight Time; 500 hours PIC Jet Time; 1,500 hours Multi Engine Time; 400 hours Instrument Flight Time

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Demonstrated strong working knowledge of aircraft systems and operating requirements. Demonstrated strong knowledge of the Federal regulations and standards relating to aircraft flight operations.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

FAA Airline Transport Rating preferred; FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
