Job Summary/Purpose

This position is in the Utility Performance & Analytics organization and will focus on the development and optimization of reliability reporting functions within the Utility, as well as ad-hoc analytic requests. This position will provide support to reliability program development, metrics development, regulatory filings, and ad-hoc analytic requests.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop tools, training, and analysis aimed at empowering Utility front line leadership to improve reliability performance

  • Perform and incorporate specific data-driven deep dive analysis to identify performance trends and contributing factors

  • Provide supporting information necessary to support regulatory filings and benchmarking requests

  • Develop professional quality presentations of results and recommendations, persuasively communicate insights and conclusions, and provide briefings to other groups and upper management as requested.

  • Participate in industry technical knowledge sharing.

  • Best practices sharing meetings with neighboring utilities

  • Liaison for UPA into other critical organizations such as Asset Management, Asset Planning, Distribution Standards, and Distribution Engineering on topics such as AMST modeling

  • Demonstrates good engineering judgment

  • Strong engineering analysis and problem solving skills as required by the specific job

  • Experience with Distribution Facilities, especially portfolio of Distribution Applications (Cognos, SQL, AM/FM, DFM, DSS, DIS, SQRT, CPTrac, Service Suite, etc)

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Prior experience in distribution design, operations, planning, or equivalent,

  • Excellent communication skills and experience / proficiency in PC use and applications,

  • Proven track record of effectively leading teams of technical individuals

  • Proficiency in use of Distribution Applications

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multi-projects simultaneously

  • Self-starter, strong interpersonal skills.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Discipline (typically Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Chemical, Industrial) from four year accredited institution. Electrical Engineering Degree Desired

Minimum experience required of the position

Engineer I - 0 to 2 years experience in an engineering discipline

Engineer II - 2+ years experience in an engineering discipline

Engineer III - 4+ years experience in an engineering discipline.

Engineer Sr - 6+ years experience in an engineering discipline.
