Job Summary/Purpose:

* These positions may be filled as a HR Representative II or Sr. depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Process Support/Strategic Staffing: Consults with management and employees in the administration of all Human Resources programs, policies and procedures. Leads the overall support in area of expertise. Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs. Helps in designing and implementation of overall recruiting strategy

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Recruiting and Sourcing experience desired

Works with the HR Programs to execute programs. Provides feedback on program utilization, strengths, and challenges. Translates the WF plans into actionable staffing plans and monitor progress on attracting key/critical talent needs.

Assists in developing innovative and cost effective recruiting strategies and processes, including nontraditional techniques such as online and other social networking sites.

Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of staff positions and establish strategic partnerships with managers and department leaders to understand position needs and effectively design company wide recruitment strategies.

Performs recruitment and hiring processes for positions throughout the organization. Maintains accurate and comprehensive recruitment files, using testing results and previous candidate qualification. Create and develop strategic business to business relationships.

Prioritizes work, effectively handles multiple tasks simultaneously, takes initiative, possesses sound reasoning and problem solving skills, functions as a team member as well as works independently, develops and conducts presentations to management.

Develops and revises HR administrative procedures and policies when applicable. Maintains and distributes up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

Travel to career fairs, high schools and/or colleges and universities to help recruit for the co-op, internship and professionals on a needed basis within Entergy’s recruiting territory.

Must be solution oriented, understand the market in which sourcing is needed, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and great interpersonal skills to assist with relationship building with hiring managers, colleges and universities. Routinely markets and sells the Entergy brand to prospective candidates during targeted information sessions; excellent verbal communication and presentation skills are a must.

Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers.

Conduct interviews using various reliable personnel selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule

Monitor and apply human resources recruiting best practices

Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process

Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites and working with 3rd party vendors.

Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.

Prepare and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc

Source and attract candidates by using databases, social media etc

Screen candidate’s resumes and job applications

Minimum education required of the position:

Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred (Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related field) or equivalent work experience. MBA or graduate level degree desired.

Minimum experience required of the position:

HR II - 4-5 years of relevant HR experience with a bachelor’s degree; 8+ years of relevant HR experience without a bachelor’s degree.

Sr HR - 6+ years of relevant HR experience with a bachelor’s degree; 10+ years of relevant HR experience without a bachelor’s degree

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:

Ability to confidentially manage sensitive records of the company. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Ability to work with minimum supervision as well as with a team. Ability to handle multiple and time sensitive projects. Experience with PeopleSoft HRIS applications and COGNOS. Proficient in HRIS applications including reporting and data entry. Knowledge of company policies, practices and procedures. Applicant Tracking System experience is preferred. SuccessFactors experience is a plus.
