Responsible for the following technologies: Servers, Storage, Virtualization, Backup, and Cloud Infrastructure. The role is also responsible for development/maintenance of the Hosting Platform Services, Storage Services, Data Center Facility Services, Backup, Recovery, and Archive Services. The role is responsible for delivering assigned projects on time, on budget, with first time quality, and adherence to business requirements while standardizing/rationalizing technical platforms.


Coordinate with Program Managers, individual COE leads, and vendors to develop/enhance EUC platforms in a timely, cost effective manner. Build strong relationships with internal IT Program Managers, Enterprise Architecture (EA), Facilities, and Applications Service Delivery Managers to ensure coordination across multiple products.

Manage a team of Infrastructure Hosting platform Solution Architects and Operations leads. The Manager and SAs represent internal knowledge and expertise of Entergy's platforms and systems.

Actively manage the supporting vendor(s) to ensure they are meeting stated services levels (requirements & quality) and aligning to Entergy stated standards (e.g., security, architecture, quality).

Ensure compliance with all project deployment methodologies, internal standards, and operational guidelines to enable Infrastructure Hosting to support and maintain all solutions per stated service level agreements.

Manage budget for projects and support agreements with a focus on cost savings while providing expected levels of support and capabilities.

Develop a technology roadmap and strategy for each area of responsibility, in coordination with Enterprise Architecture, to build new capabilities. Responsible for consolidating and standardizing technologies over time to align with standards, as defined by the EA strategy.

Develop strategies and processes to revolutionize/transform/improve the current Entergy Infrastructure Hosting environment bringing new innovations to the hosting infrastructure and platforms (servers, storage, virtualization, backup, cloud infrastructure).

Provide resource planning and management within Entergy Infrastructure Hosting. Forecast potential bottlenecks or gaps based on future demand expectations.


Minimum education required of the position

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.

Minimum experience required of the position

7+ years of managing infrastructure and application development process.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Strong working knowledge of infrastructure and software development lifecycle and methodologies, demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, experience in project delivery in highly outsourced environments, and in depth knowledge of multiple technologies aligned with IT standards. Knowledge of all areas of the Entergy Hosting environment listed above.
