Job Summary / Purpose

Responsible for scoping, funding, design, planning and implementation of NFPA 805 related projects at EntergyNuclear plants.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that project related activities are properly scoped, funded, designed, planned, contracted, cost

controlled and implemented in accordance with nuclear and corporate processes, practices and procedures.

  1. Provide the organizational strategy, structure and resources for execution of project activities.

  2. Develop NFPA 805 implementation task schedules and support both internal and external resource


  1. Inspect facilities to ensure plants are implementing the processes and equipment needed to complete the full

implementation on schedule.

  1. Manage contracts and resources related to NFPA 805 project activities.

  2. Interface with regulatory and industry representatives as needed to support NFPA 805 projects.

Minimum Requirements:


B.S. degree in engineering or other scientific discipline generally associated with power plant operations or

equivalent experience. A degree is strongly preferred.

Minimum Requirements:


10 years experience in nuclear power design, engineering, construction, maintenance, operations, P&SO,

licensing or equivalent. 5 years supervisory/management experience in an operating nuclear power plant.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation. Technical proficiency in Engineering

Project Management.

Candidates must meet or exceed ANSI/ANS 3.1-1978. ANSI Section 4.2.4 - Technical Manager. 8 years

responsible positions related to power generation, of which 3 years shall be nuclear power plant experience. A

maximum of 2 years of the remaining 6 years experience may be fulfilled by satisfactory completion of

academic or related technical training.
