JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

Supply Chain Category Leader Associate role that is responsible for assignments in support of Category Leaders for assigned areas of responsibility. Successful Category Associates have a strong understanding of Entergy contract terms, concepts, terminology and standards, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. With strong organizational and computer skills, and a good attention to detail, they deliver quality results and can adjust to changing needs while meeting deadlines.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the creation and development of spend analysis, market benchmarking and cost modeling. Highly proficient at completing detail cost models in Power Advocate system. Ability to query spend data and create reports for management analysis and decision.

Conduct RFP's, RFI's, RFQ, etc. including the identification of appropriate sourcing method, development of RFX and evaluation and recommendation of path forward. Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiencies. Performs detailed reviews, fact-finding and analysis of contractor proposals. Develops bid tabs for review and evaluation through data analysis and presentation.

Creates blanket contracts and contract closeouts. Prepares and communicates shortage and backlog reports, and provides visibility of potential interruptions to internal customers. Provides expediting on open orders and addresses vendor issues.

Creation and maintenance of supply performance and metric tracking. Keeping up with current technology and managing online systems.

Creation and development of category reporting. Prepares correspondence, and file documentation required to support Category Leader. Assists in the development and maintenance of Business Cases for procurement projects.

Understands technology and managing online systems such as Power Advocate tool, usage and maintenance for assigned categories. Ability to create professional reports and Power Point presentations to support Strategic Sourcing organization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, Supply Chain, technical discipline or relevant field is required or equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position:

Category Leader Assoc I - College Degree preferred. Prefer 1 - 2 Interships or Coop related business roles as experience

Category Leader Assoc II - Up to 2 years business organization experience. Desired: 2 years experience contracting and sourcing in a supply chain organization

Category Leader Assoc III - 2 years experience contracting and sourcing in a Supply Chain organization with some Category Management experience

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

All phases of contracting (from Bid, Award, Negotiation, Contract Development, Performance Monitoring, Claims, Dispute Resolution). Analytical techniques to identify cost savings/sourcing opportunities. Knowledge of Power Plant/Utility Operations and Business Practices. Knowledge of legal/regulatory requirements. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Ability to develop and present business cases for complex, high dollar procurements. Excellent oral, written, problem solving and facilitating skills. Proficiency in basic Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and accurately with multiple levels of company and segment personnel. They are highly motivated team players with the ability to work independently with little supervision. Desired: Knowledge of Process Improvement Techniques; Analytical Modeling Experience; Experience with Enterprise contracting/procurement system. Other Requirements: Some overnight Travel; Emergency Coverage Rotation; Unscheduled emergency support.
