Job Summary/Purpose

Manages the negotiation, sale, and implementation of lighting services and products for the Utility lighting businesses. Manages the Lighting business in assigned area, comprised of Municipal Streetlights and Private Area Lights.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Ensures the accuracy of all municipal lighting bills in assigned areas by maintaining an accurate count of installed inventory, accounting for all changes (install, removal upgrade) to the inventory and recording all changes in various databases (LAMP, AM/FM, CCS). Facilitates the work requests processes required for all lighting work by interfacing with City/Parish/Municipal customers and Entergy resources.

  2. Meets and corresponds with potential and current clients to identity needs, resolves issues and addresses complaints, and follow-up on resolutions. Coordinates installation and maintenance teams. Acts as the post-sale customer advocate for Lighting sales/repairs, ensuring adherence to schedule, quality and accuracy, and providing a primary contact role for internal and external customers. Assists the sales team to ensure proper lighting applications, installations and billing. Participates in recovery of unbilled Private Area Lighting revenues, including CCS research, field verification and billing support.?

  3. Meets with Supervisor to discuss current improvements in operating processes. Provides updates on customer projects and notifies of complex and/or significant customer issues. Provides project management, and customer liaison by working closely with Distribution Operations and Engineering to verify project completion schedules and quality assurance.? Oversees complex Lighting jobs to ensure work flows smoothly from department to department in a timely manner.? Oversees contractor performance (schedule, quality assurance). Maintains contact with clients in the market area to ensure high levels of Customer Satisfaction.? Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees. Maintains relationships with political entities, trade allies, contractors and customers.

  4. Corresponds with customers and prepares contracts and agreements. Presents capabilities to potential customers. Presents ideas for lighting improvements to current customers. Acts as an integral part of departmental marketing initiatives, including the ability for direct sales and sales support. Ability to perform/learn basic lighting design tasks (sketches, site information, and estimates) including knowledge of pricing (rates) and proposals.?

  5. Works within company guidelines and procedures. Serves as point of contact for internal and external customers regarding lighting inventories, contracts, maintenance, billing and reconciliation and other lighting specific concerns. Interacts with Customers, Customer Service Department, City/Parishes, Region/Network Managers, Accounting, Customer Service Centers, Engineering Assistants, Design Coordinators, Contractors and Data Maintenance personnel to ensure performance, customer satisfaction and billing accuracy. Provides process improvement support as needed.

  6. Corresponds with local government officials to ensure compliance with municipal standards. Provides assistance on public municipal projects. Reconcile City/Parish Municipal Light inventories by utilization of Entergy's Lighting Asset Management Program (LAMP) and AM/FM Programs. Update Accounting and LAMP Databases to resolve City/Parish billing discrepancies and establish controls for Municipal Lighting installations, upgrades, maintenance, and removals. Interprets Public Service Commission rate schedules and applicability to lighting contracts and makes recommendations to management on policies, procedures or proposed courses of action. Monitors lighting work flow processes.? Processes inventory information from nighttime patrol contractor daily.

  • Requires a college degree in related field or the equivalent work experience.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Maintain a working knowledge of security light applications, billing processes, customer contact procedures, rate schedules and pricing, work request initiation process, and associated computer applications, DIS/CIS/AM-FM/DSS/LAMP/AIS/EARL/CCS/DSS and standard Entergy office applications. Functional knowledge of lighting processes for installation, removal and repair of lights. Knowledge of Engineering process for designing, cost estimating and scheduling of work. Knowledge of CSC processes for lighting. Knowledge of Entergy's lighting products and their performance Understands key business drivers for municipal, commercial, industrial and residential customers; uses this understanding to accomplish lighting sales, establish working relationships. Ability to do lighting account reconciliations for large and small accounts. Ability to influence other departments to improve performance measures. Builds trust, values others, communicates effectively, drives execution, fosters innovation, focuses on the customer, collaborates with others, solves problems creatively and demonstrates high integrity. Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents. Strong customer service skills. Ability to interface with high level officials. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
