This position may be filled as a Regional Material Rep II or Sr depending on qualifications and experience. This posting is scheduled to close on 10/22/19.
Responsible for the liaison between the Supply Chain function and the operational groups for material issues. Includes the responsibilities associated with establishing materials support in the field for major storm restorations.
Complete ERM audits on local storeroom facilities following established audit process. Identify problems in inventory accuracy, timely ticket entry and any potential safety issues.
Interface with Local Storekeepers, Network Manager, Designers, Standards, and Supply Chain.
Analyze material usage trends and provide reports to line management with ability to explain trends. Provide cross training opportunities to SCO personnel on the role of the RMR in the field.
Visit Local Storerooms and Local Network offices.
Provide Emergency Support.
Provide training and support on Entergy Toolkit and Supply Chain Applications.
Provide material forecast to Purchasing and Inventory management on major materials.
Coordinate with Procurement in the resolution of disputes with suppliers.
Work directly with dedicated transportation provider to resolve material delivery issues
Work with Standards to resolve material issues
Minimum education required of the position
B.S./B.A. degree or 6 years experience in materials management position or professional materials certification preferred (or equivalent related experience).
Minimum experience required of the position
Regional Material Rep II - 3-6 years of experience
Regional Material Rep Sr - 4-8 years of experience
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Intermediate computer skills with a working knowledge of Entergy's Asset Suite, CAMBAR and MS Toolkit applications. Proficient customer interface skills. Ability to understand usage of Transmission & Distribution materials. A working knowledge of electrical T&D material applications. Able to layout and manage a material staging yard during storm restoration. Able to extract data from IKW and analyze specific segments such as inventory levels, turns and usage patterns. Working knowledgeable of accounting principle and practices. Ability to demonstrate team skills that contribute toward goal accomplishment. Understand operation of communications equipment such as air cards, satellite phones and 800mgz radios. Participate on multi-functional teams. Working knowledge of the procurement and contracting process.
