Entergy Tech Skills Training Supervisor in Clinton, Mississippi
Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid

This position requires 50% to 75% of travel to Entergy training facilities and power plants. When you aren’t traveling, you are able to sit out of any Entergy office with Westwego, LA being the preferred location.
Job Summary/Purpose
Provides overall direction, planning and performance of Technical Training group activities to ensure achievement of budget goals. Integrates Technical Training activities into daily operations to ensure safe, reliable, cost-efficient operation.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Provides organizational guidance, direction, leadership, and planning for line training related activities. Interfaces with the appropriate Line Leadership to determine how training resources can best be applied to improve line performance.
Identifies training needs, helps develop and design lesson plans, contracts support, prepares budget, and oversees corrective actions and work activities related to Technical Training. Works effectively with the Management Team by setting priorities, allocating resources, and supporting operational leadership.
Encourages an environment which fosters a strong performance culture through continuous training. Ensures training provided to site personnel reinforces these principles and improves individual skills or organizational performance.
Ensures compliance with applicable requirements, regulations, procedures, and specifications. Applies Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) or other development models as required for all course development / maintenance projects and maintains course history information. Converts traditional classroom-based learning content to other delivery systems, such as mobile or eLearning delivery when appropriate.
Ensures professionalism in the workplace. This includes reinforcing professionalism the way in which employees carry themselves, the attitudes they convey, and the ways they communicate with their co-workers, our students, and our customers.
Monitor and maintain the respective department budget.
Responsible for maintaining assigned training facility and grounds.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's degree in related field or the equivalent work experience
Minimum experience required of the position
10+ years of line experience working in power delivery, power generation, or other electric power organization.
Preferred: Qualified Distribution line worker or Transmission technician and people leader experience.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Strong safety culture
Proficiency with both commercial and business acumen.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with coworkers and customers.
Ability to work with multiple levels of the organizational structure.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multi-projects simultaneously.
Ability to travel to support field locations in Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Working knowledge of and/or the ability to learn to work with a LMS and SharePoint
Strong distribution line, substation mechanical or relay-based knowledge.
Must be willing to assume a storm restoration role and travel if necessary.
Extensive intersystem travel may be required (up to 50%)
