Job Responsibilities

-Design, develop, and update training programs in instructor-led and alternative delivery formats. Alternative formats will include eLearning/mLearning, computer simulations, EPSS, and informal social


-Provide rapid development of video-based learning content for use in a variety of training material

-Convert traditional classroom-based learning content to other delivery systems, such as mobile oreLearning delivery.

-As required, develop certification processes for new and existing programs.

-Apply A.D.D.I.E. or other development models as required for all course development / maintenanceprojects, maintain course history information

-Work with a minimum of supervision to complete all work on schedule and budget.

-Apply project management tools and techniques to complete high quality training programs onschedule. Serve as a project manager for externally sourced development projects.

-Analyze existing training delivery to determine the appropriate method for future delivery.

-Apply evaluation models (such as Kirkpatrick’s model of evaluation) to assure highest level of trainingeffectiveness.

-Serve as a lead on large courseware development projects and possess a high degree ofindependence to produce quality learning programs.

-Provide timely updates and reports on projects as requested by department management.

-Collaborate with leadership and employees to identify curriculum needs to support continuedworkforce development.

-Participate on teams to represent Training and ensure the correct performance and learning solutionsare included.

-Establish relationships with leadership as required to ensure training needs are appropriatelyaddressed


Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor degree (Masters preferred) or the equivalent military/electrical utility technical trainingexperience in one of the following areas: Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology,

Instructional Organizational (I/O) Psychology, Educational Psychology, or Adult Education

Minimum experience required of the position

5 years of courseware development experience with Master’s degree or 10 years of coursewaredevelopment experience with Bachelor’s degree or 15 years of courseware development experience with no degree.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

-Proficient with video production and publishing

-Highly proficient with MS applications (Excel, Project and PowerPoint).

-Strong interpersonal skills a must.

-Office environment with minimal physical requirements

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Valid driver's license required.
