Provide operational support, ensuring production systems and devices are online and available; this includes non-business hours on-call support.
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on plant process and security computer systems and data acquisition equipment and system hardware.
Supports the design and maintenance of operational technology (OT) system network and associated components associated with real-time systems.
Conducts system troubleshooting activities for failures and performance monitoring related to OT systems.
Analyzes, develops, and implements solutions for system enhancements. Conducts a wide-range of quality-control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.
Performs other duties specific to site type (e.g. Power Plants), including serving as an advocate for safe operations and continuous improvement and implementing the Corrective Action Program for site OT.
Perform and/or support hardware and software system checkouts and commissioning.
Perform installation and maintenance activities on network appliances in the Power Generation space such as Data Diodes, Firewalls, Switches and routers.
Perform installation and maintenance on PI data historians, interfaces and proxy servers.
Minimum education and experience required of the position:
IT Specialist II:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 2+years with of relevant technology delivery with Subject Matter Expertise for OTis required OR in lieu of a degree 6+ years of relevant work experience is required.
IT Specialist Sr:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 4+years with of relevant technology delivery with Subject Matter Expertise for OTis required OR in lieu of a degree 8+ years of relevant work experience is required.
IT Consultant:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5+years with of relevant technology delivery with Subject Matter Expertise for OTis required OR in lieu of a degree 9+ years of relevant work experience is required.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
Ability to support real-time systems
Ability to support cyber security activities such as, system hardening, patch management, and configuration management
Knowledge of security controls testing, security audits, and security assessments
Knowledge of Power Plant control systems and other supporting equipment
Ability to support system incident research
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer server skills and desire to deliver excellent projects and services
Ability to communicate technical and regulatory requirements to customers that may not have a fundamental background in the subjects being discussed
Ability to support of fraud and computer forensics research
