JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The Project Controls Scheduler has functional responsibility for development, integration and maintenance of project schedules and schedule oversight for integrated vendor schedules

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinate and maintain the overall Integrated Project Schedule using Primavera (P6 or higher) software.

Integration of all vendor, engineering, online, outage, and project schedules. Schedules should be resource loaded where possible.

  1. Analyze project schedules to support baseline creation and baseline compliance throughout the project life cycle.

  2. Demonstrate knowledge of project control principles; understand the principles and concepts of cost controls as it relates to budgeting, monitoring and tracking actual costs, change orders and forecasting; possess superior planning and scheduling experience using the critical path method (CPM) and be able to set up basic cash flow reports required by the management team

  3. Exercise independent and professional judgment in solving cost and schedule problems and coordinating resolution.

Perform detailed baseline variance analysis of project cost and schedule performance and present the analysis to management with recommendations.

  1. Attend project risk meetings/workshops and work with risk personnel to incorporate mitigation and contingency funds into schedule. Perform Schedule QRA as required for complex, time critical, projects.

  2. Use the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Dictionary, estimate, and budget data to create the WBS in P6 to include the incorporation of scope notebook items, budget, spend plan, and setting of WBS Earned Value settings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – SCHEDULER, SR.

Minimum education required of the position

BS degree in construction management, engineering, technical related filed or project management or equivalent work experience (5 years minimum) as a scheduler.

Minimum experience required of the position

A minimum of 6 years of experience in project controls work on modification projects, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, risk and/or project reporting. 2 years should be in a nuclear related environment.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Advanced experience with Primavera Project Management (P6).

Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Desired: experience with Syntempo

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Desired: SRO license or certification on BWR and/or PWR.

Desired: Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – SCHEDULER, II.

Minimum education required of the position

BS degree in construction management, engineering, technical related filed or project management or equivalent work experience (3 years minimum) as a scheduler.

Minimum experience required of the position

A minimum of 4 years of experience in project controls work on modification projects, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, risk and/or project reporting.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Working knowledge with Primavera Project Management (P6).

Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Desired: experience with Syntempo

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Desired: SRO license or certification on BWR and/or PWR.
