Performs a wide variety of activities associated with asset management activities for all service areas in Entergy. This includes routine, non-routine, and emergency assistance associated with substations and transmission lines. Activities may include work order development, contract management, budget oversight, procedure development, compliance adherence, planning, strategic project support, safety, and root cause failure analysis.
Manage the system spares program and annual system failure budget
Maintain the CIP-14 physical security plan procedure, take a lead in the response of inquiries, and participate in associated audits
Uses engineering and/or technical principles, best practices, and knowledge of internal and external business issues to solve problems, develop cost-effective technically sound solutions, and improve products or services.
Support the development and maintenance of system level contracts for various substation equipment manufacturers and service providers
Supports activities to comply with applicable industry standards (i.e., NERC, SERC) and other utility regulations, as required.
Assist with storm/emergency restoration efforts as necessary
Technical Degree (2-year Associate or 4-year Bachelor’s) and/or years of operational experience in electric utilities commensurate with progression level (Detailed Below).
Preferred: Education and/or experience requirements in Transmission Lines.
with 4-year bachelor’s degree: 8 years of experience
with 2-year associate degree: 12 years of experience
with supervisory experience: 16 years of experience
without a degree: 20 years of experience
