JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

As a ServiceNow Technical Architect within Entergy’s Customer Systems team, you’ll provide senior technical leadership to the team, as well as execute the delivery and ongoing support of ServiceNow-based modules, services, applications, and overall solutions. This role provides the opportunity to engage in the full application lifecycle: from interacting with business customers to understand technology roadmaps and design optimal technical solutions to performing “hands-on” development and support of the applications. In addition, you’ll be supporting some of Entergy’s most core business processes, such as customer engagement, customer service, and relationship management.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Curate application design patterns and confirm their utilization. Perform code peer reviews and enforce coding standards.

  • Participate in design of key custom coding components.

  • Develop and maintain capability and technology roadmaps.

  • Determine and resolve project dependencies. Ensure sandbox design meets all project needs.

  • Provide operational support, ensuring production systems are online and achieve highest levels of availability, including non-business hours.

  • Provide routine and emergency support for production applications, including restoration of production environment following outages.

  • Provide senior technical guidance to the support team by serving as escalation point for complex support issues, including after-hours support when necessary.

  • Evaluate ServiceNow platform performance, isolate and debug software problems and make recommendations for problem resolution.

  • Provide subject matter knowledge to the ServiceNow application and ability to implement modules and other third-party integrations and applications used within the environment to ServiceNow.

  • Ensure that all architectural artifacts and deliverables in the responsibility areas are developed to the highest quality standards.

  • Ability to synthesize solution design information, architectural principles, available technologies, third-party products, and industry standards to formulate a system architecture that meets client requirements and can be delivered within the desired timeframe.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education and experience required of the position.

Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, computer science, or related technical degree or equivalent work experience.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • At least 7+ years' solution design experience.

  • At least 4+ years of experience in designing/implementing ServiceNow solutions

  • Experience in the full lifecycle of design, development, and testing of ServiceNow solutions

  • Experience in understanding client business needs & objectives.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:

  • Customer-focused approach to accomplishing tasks efficiently

  • Highly motivated and ability to work with moderate direct supervision.

  • Effective Teamwork and Inclusion (e.g. works collaboratively, builds collaborative relationships)

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Knowledge of end-to-end software development lifecycle, including both agile and waterfall approaches.

  • Experience mentoring technical teams and guiding technology standards and decisions.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position

  • Any ServiceNow or ITIL certifications are a plus.
