Provides strategic leadership and direction for the Transmission Customer Services group. Work cross functionally within Entergy to develop strategic and active customer engagement with Tier 1 industrial, nuclear, and other specially designated customers who receive transmission level service. This includes active customer engagement, customer transmission service planning, metrics, and performance reporting. Facilitates the administration of various agreements (e.g., LBA, MDMA, WDS, Revenue Sharing, System-to-System Interconnection Agreements) with wholesale customers and neighboring systems to ensure transmission service is delivered in a safe and reliable manner on the Entergy Transmission System. Supports the preparation and administration of contracts to ensure the needs of the Transmission organization are satisfied and facilitates customer funding agreements when appropriate. Administration and interpretation of MISO Transmission Tariff schedules in support of Transmission billing and payments associated with MISO transmission pricing zones.


  • For Nuclear Power Plant Customers: Engage customer and establish routine multi-tier engagement process for plant/grid and executive levels to understand service needs and discuss common issues. Develop grid maintenance plan/schedule that meets customer service expectations. Develop metrics to track service expectations. Develop routine review of all operating events impacting nuclear facilities and produce root cause, common cause, and corrective action plans.

  • For Designated Industrial Customers and Other Special Accounts: Working cross functionally within Entergy and within Transmission, develop strategic plans that serve industrial, nuclear, and other specially designated customers. Ensure those expectations of customers are understood and that maintenance and service levels align with customer needs. Advocate on behalf of customer within Transmission to ensure appropriate programs are in place and monitored. Working with Operating Companies, establish industrial customer portfolio. Actively partner with Operating Company Industrial Accounts in the establishment of ongoing customer engagement plans to understand and meet customer service expectations and provide new solutions and services where possible. Lead and coordinate customer engagement initiatives at regional and corporate levels. Coordinate cross functional Transmission responses to customer events. With view that reliability is a threshold entry to ongoing and future service opportunities, actively work with Transmission Asset Management to establish maintenance plan/schedule that ensures all PM/CM up to date for the industrial account portfolio. Develop metrics to track expectations. Coordinate routine review of operating events impacting industrial portfolio and produce root cause, common cause, and corrective action plans. Develop Vulnerability Assessments for identified accounts. Complete desk top review of design/system vulnerability. Complete sight walkdown for condition vulnerability. Engage customers.

  • Provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for the Transmission Customer Services group to ensure the continued delivery of reliable transmission service. Develop and present transmission solution options to customers. Oversees the administration of the contract and creditworthiness evaluation for transmission customers; and works with other Entergy work groups to meet the business needs of the transmission customers and Entergy Transmission organization.

  • Leads the administration and interpretations of interconnection policies and procedures relative to specific Interconnection Agreements. Provide support in regulatory proceedings on matters related to transmission service/interconnections.

  • Provides leadership for the coordination and administration of future reimbursements for transmission facilities for customers such as Cooperative Energy, AECC, Arkansas Cities, CLECO, MDEA, MEAM, AEP, etc. Supports MISO Tariff-related activities applicable to the Entergy Operating Companies.


Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Preferred : Electrical Engineering degree.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the utility industry.

  • Managerial supervisory experience required as part of progressive responsibilities.

  • Preferred : Experience with Transmission and MISO tariffs.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent leadership skills to guide, mentor, and build an organization;

  • Strong communicator both at tactical and strategic levels with experience discussing complex topics in a simple, easy-to-understand way;

  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and ability to execute projects in a matrix organization;

  • Strong, demonstrated writing and presentation skills.
