Senior Staff Nuclear Operations Instructor

Conducts training programs for licensed operators and shift technical advisors in reactor operations covering replacement, requalification, upgrade, etc., consistent with NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) requirements. Develops and maintains operations training programs.


  • Administers training programs to ensure the availability of qualified and licensed personnel.

  • Interfaces with line personnel to analyze performance needs and recommend appropriate training solutions.

  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training materials and programs using the systematic approach to training.

  • Administers and coordinates training programs for sites and corporate groups as assigned.


Minimum education required for the position

5 years of nuclear plant experience (commercial or military) or a B.S. degree in education, engineering, or related technical degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum experience required for the position

  • At least five years of experience in the associated line organization.

  • Desired: 3 years previously licensed as PWRSRO

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position

Technical proficiency in the assigned area. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) or certification on BWR, PWR or both
