Entergy Helper 1st Year - Transformer Core Builder in Little Rock, Arkansas

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Will tear down and reassemble oil filled electrical equipment cores.
Performs a variety of routine and standard maintenance, testing and repairs on distribution oil filled equipment. Also conducts field testing and repair of equipment as needed.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluates condition of oil filled equipment and makes repair recommendations.
Complete repairs to equipment according to established operating procedures.
Operate powered industrial trucks and jib cranes to handle equipment.
Properly label and package equipment according to Entergy specifications for shipment to end user.
Conduct field repair and testing. Also perform repair and calibrations on more complex devices.
Follows safety rules and regulations and assists shop crew to meet daily goals.
Other duties as may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
High school degree or equivalent.
Minimum experience required of the position
1+ years of relavent experience
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Familiar with nomenclature of electrical materials, able to perform basic math calculations, some knowledge of environmental regulations and requirements. Must be able to operate powered industrial trucks and small cranes. Must have valid driver’s license.

EEI Testing:
One way that Entergy has found to identify and assess the abilities and skills needed for certain jobs is through pre-employment testing. If this position does require an EEI test, the type of test will be located under the qualifications section of the job posting.
