Entergy Regulatory Support & Settlements Manager in Little Rock, Arkansas

The preferred location for this role is The Woodlands, TX. New Orleans, LA, Jackson, MS and Little Rock, AR will also be considered. This is a hybrid position working a 9/80 schedule.
This role will manage the SPO RFI support team and one of the Settlements support teams i.e., gas, power or Emissions Scope 2 reporting, dependent upon your experience.
Job Summary / Purpose
Lead a team responsible regulatory support and the fuel and power settlements for the five Entergy Operating Companies (e.g., Natural Gas, Coal, Oil, Power). Provides testimony, expert analysis, and support for regulatory filings, audits, and other related activities. Leads efforts to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of processes through ongoing continuous improvement efforts. The Manager, Settlements and Analysis leads team responsible for analytical research to determine cause of Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and commodity settlement discrepancies. This role develops and implements procedures to support the market and commodity settlement processes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the timely and accurate settlement of natural gas, power, oil, and coal purchasing activities, and ensure that the appropriate controls are identified, documented and implemented for each settlement process. Also, manage all energy accounting activities for Entergy’s Operating companies.
Responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate payment of the weekly MISO invoice on behalf of the Operating Companies and ensure the timely filing of MISO settlement disputes and oversee the MISO settlement dispute resolution process.
Partner with Front-Office personnel to improve bidding and offer strategies to optimize fuel and power procurement for each Operating Company, and with Fuel Accounting to ensure timely and accurate accounting closes.
Lead and oversee team that manages RFI processes for all SPO functions and provides strategic support on various regulatory cases and filings. Provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis to support requests for information from Operating Company, Regulatory, Compliance, and other entities requiring back-office settlement data. Prepare testimony and/ or provide subject matter expertise for fuel audits, litigation, and regulatory filings.
Process Improvement/Continuous Improvement – Lead process improvement efforts inside System Planning Support Services and across System Planning and Operations (SPO). Respond to changes in the business and customer expectations to identify settlement processes improvements. Develop, enhance, and streamline processes/procedures for increased efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness, including updating process documentation and flow charts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication - Work closely with various groups to analyze market results and support strategic initiatives that optimize business outcomes. Collaborate and communicate with staff and cross-functional groups to ensure clarity, clear objectives, accountabilities and priorities.
Minimum Requirements: Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or Business Administration (or related degree field).
Graduate degree preferred
Minimum Requirements: Experience
7+ years in energy industry, Settlements, Operations or a related field

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
Proficiency in PC Windows environment. Knowledge of ISOs, GAAP, FERC and regulatory accounting

Certifications / Licenses:
