Job Summary/Purpose

Responsible for developing and maintaining relations with local municipalities, business and community constituents. Works with local operating company to achieve shared goals through marketing initiatives and employee training. Responsible for generating revenue through lighting sales. Manages the negotiation of lighting sales and implementation of lighting services, manages the lighting business in assigned area composed of municipal and private area outdoor lights. Daily travel and field work in assigned geographic region is required.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Develop and maintain targeted relationships with key municipal stakeholders. Manage municipal lighting accounts within the region to ensure proper billing, accurate count of installed inventory, and recording of all changes in various databases Lighting Asset Management Program, Customer Care System, (LAMP, AM/FM, CCS). Provide leadership and coordination between operations and engineering to provide seamless service and facilitate the work request process required for all lighting work by interfacing with City/Parish/Municipal customer and Entergy resources. Resolve escalated customer issues related to outdoor lighting. Correspond with local government officials to ensure compliance with municipal standards, provides assistance on public municipal lighting projects and process inventory information from nighttime patrol.

Point of contact for internal and external customers regarding lighting inventories, contracts, maintenance, billing and reconciliation and other lighting specific concerns. Interface with Customers, Customer Service Department, City/Parishes, Region/Network Managers, Accounting, Customer Service Centers, Engineering Assistants, Design Coordinators, Contractors and data Maintenance personnel to ensure performance customer service and billing accuracy. Provides process improvement support as necessary. Meet and correspond with potential and current customers to identity needs, resolve issues and address complaints and implement follow-up on resolutions. Prepares work requests for revenue and improvement projects related to lighting, Stakes pole lines, coordinates other preconstruction activities, may prepare cost estimates and construction drawings. Understands and tracks project schedules, prepares and conducts review meetings at critical milestones and maintains current information on project status. Resolves project conflicts to achieve customer satisfaction, develops appropriate action and recovery plans and ensures timely close out of projects including all required documentation.

Meets with Lighting management on a regular basis to discuss operating processes, provide updates on customer projects and complex and/or significant customer issues. Interprets Public Service Commission rate schedules and applicability to lighting contracts and make recommendations to management on policies, procedures or proposed courses of action. Support the Operating Company through the promotion of marketing initiatives, participates in preparing the monthly scorecard, attends safety meetings, attends engineering meetings, provides training to OPCO personnel on all aspects of outdoor lighting. Develop professional relationships and demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees, municipal stakeholders, customers and trade allies.

Support department and company financial goals by meeting or exceeding a defined sales target. Identify and correct issues with lighting inventories and maintenance and billing of private area lighting. Conduct field verification, billing analysis, street light and commercial audits. Consistently meets/exceeds sales target and demonstrates ability to grow and retain lighting revenues.

Performs lead role during periods of supervisor’s absence and may be asked to lead cross functional meetings or teams. Takes lead in development of departmental processes, oversight of large lighting related projects, and produces reports of professional quality.

Provides training for new lighting coordinators, external customers and field operations on a variety of lighting related topics. Identifies gaps in knowledge and processes and leads efforts to develop/ implement resolutions. Assists with monthly scorecard preparation.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3-5 years of customer service, engineering, or operations experience or equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position

Lighting Coordinator –3-5 years of customer service, engineering, or operations experience.

Lighting Coordinator Sr - 7-9 years of customer service, engineering, or operations experience.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
