JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Entergy is in the process of transforming its business, providing new and innovative solutions to improve the grid and its customer relationships and interactions.

The Business Readiness Design and Assurance (BR D&A) team supports Utility Grid Mod and Strategy with its transition to a new grid modernization operating model, specifically with the development, update, quality assurance, and lifecycle management of key deliverables and initiatives, such as Business Processes Design (BPD), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cross program dependency management, business process gap analysis and document management to ensure process efficiencies, sustainability, and consistency across Distribution Operations and Asset Management.

As programs are launched or the need arises, the successful candidate will engage in the above-mentioned activities, including the assessment, development, and optimization of business process initiatives, including lifecycle development and document maintenance of BPDs and SOPs.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Conducts complex business analysis based on grid modernization project scopes and objectives and presents procedure recommendations to management. Upon approval, works with key subject matter experts to create process maps (utilizing SPARX EA) and document the procedure through the procedure lifecycle.

  • Defines standards and requirements for business process design and process development quality control activities and ensures that all analysis and project work adhere to the requirements, ensuring consistency with a project and across programs.

  • Provides industry expertise and applies best practices to project work based on experience.

  • Interacts with department management, key stakeholders and other leaders throughout the organization to identify issues that may warrant future projects. Managing relationships with internal customer stakeholders to develop singular sustainable processes to support each operating company’s business objectives.

  • Mentors junior analysts in project management and other related areas.

  • Stays abreast of regulatory or political changes that may impact Entergy’s decision making.

Additional duties and responsibilities can include:

  • Partnering with peers to support the identification of cross program dependencies

  • Supporting field testing of SOPs

  • Supporting End-to-End Business Process Design Simulations to identify gaps.

  • Working with key stakeholders to develop and execute plans to improve performance and/or the customer experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business related field required or equivalent work experience. Desired: Master's Degree.

Minimum experience required of the position

Analyst III: At least 4 years of professional experience.

Analyst, Sr: At least 6 years of professional experience.

Professional/technical writing and business process design experience is desired.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
