JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Seeking a highly experienced change management specialist who can provide leadership to change activities associated with transformational projects and organizational evolution. The role is part of Entergy’s shared services organization that includes corporate center service functions such as supply chain, IT, and HR operations. The ideal candidate would have deep experience leading change efforts by leveraging standard methodologies and personal consulting skills. Change management encompasses people, process and/or technology changes that will have a human impact.

Deep and direct change management experience is a requirement for consideration as a candidate for this position.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute change management activities designed to help people transition through changes associated with projects, process improvements, and initiatives.

  • Develop change management plans including: Stakeholder analysis, detailed tasks and schedule, training plans, communication plans, risk assessments, gap analyses, change impact assessments

  • User/organizational readiness assessments

  • Lead creation of and implement change management strategies and plans in order to maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.

  • Work with many others in the organization to ensure change management plans are executed.

  • Provide direct support and coaching to management as they help their direct reports through change transitions.

  • Support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.

  • Lead change management activities identified in change management plans.

  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance to change through coaching, advising, and training.

  • Consult and coach project teams regarding change management processes and methods.

  • Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities.

  • Integrate change management activities into project plan and report status.

  • Track and report issues associated with the execution of change management plans.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business related field required or equivalent work experience. Desired: Master's Degree.

Minimum experience required of the position

Sr: 6+ years of professional experience

Sr Staff: 10+ years of professional experience

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred experience

  • At least 5 years working for a consulting firm in role that required collaborating with clients as a change management specialist.

  • Deep understanding of change management methodologies and associated tools including stakeholder analyses, training planning, and communications planning.
