Create, manage and execute executive thought leader and strategic communications plans with national, financial and trade media, as well as other external audiences for Fortune 500 energy/utility company.
Develop and drive strategic executive communications to inform and inspire a wide variety of audiences.
Develop executive strategic communications plans including external media opportunities, social media strategies, and executive speaking engagements, etc.
Oversee company’s social media and digital policy and communication channels.
Develop messaging that helps inspire confidence in the company’s strategy and objectives
Manage executive communications and provide communications counsel to the Entergy senior leadership team. Directly support executives in preparation for external engagements and manage implementation of messaging including speeches, presentations and media interviews.
Provide direction on creative concepts to execute across a variety of media, including videos, presentations and events to various audiences, including customers, investors, etc.
Partner with various teams across the company to build our brand and reputation as an employer of choice.
Organize and coordinate projects and initiatives in conjunction with all necessary stakeholders.
Create and sustain a safe work environment by promoting a culture of safety.
Anticipate and manage corporate issues and mitigate reputational risk associated with them.
Support overall storm and crisis communications that could impact the company's business or reputation and maintain and effective crisis managment process.
Support Investor Relations to help integrate finance, communication, marketing and securities law compliance to enable the most effective two-way communication with the financial community and other constituencies. Partner with Investor Relations team to manage earnings announcements, annual reports and content for annual shareholders meetings.

Minimum education required of this position:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or Finance, or equivalent experience. Master’s Degree preferred
Minimum experience required of this position:
10+ years professional communications leadership experience; with at least 5 years’ experience working with national media, including proactive outreach in large, dynamic organizations.
Experience in regulated industries, particularly those with a diverse set of stakeholders.
Knowledge of utility sector, utility finance, and federal policymaking is preferred but not required. The ability to quickly learn the business is a must.
Strong media relations skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with top-tier media.
Corporate financial communications experience.
Excellent writing skills, including speech writing experience essential.
Ability to manage pressure, meet deadlines and monitor and evaluate results.
Self-starter with the ability to work across company functions and stakeholders with ease.
Demonstrated experience of 360°, cross-platform storytelling; ability to identify and extract compelling stories from the day-to-day business (i.e. create news) and tailor stories to specific targeted media and other outlets.
Demonstrated record of achieving superior national media relations results (proactive outreach) including the ability to persuade and dissuade the media.
Appreciation of digital media and its evolving role in reputation management, narrative delivery and ensure speed and accuracy of the company’s participation in social channels.
Demonstrated ability to simplify and translate complex concepts, including financial processes, into easily understood language and compelling stories.
Management of people, budgets and agencies effectively to achieve results.
Ability to closely partner with employee communications to leverage communications materials across internal and external platforms, leverage speaking engagements and media appearances, etc., for internal purposes.
Ability to quickly establish confidence and credibility with senior leaders and others across the organization.
