Collaborate and partner with the system incident management organization and help them manage the readiness and response of their functions (e.g. training assistance, monitoring and reporting status, role assignment issues, document updates, PSC/PUC RFI requests, table-top or simulation exercise development/execution, and after actions, among others). Develop and maintain key metrics, reports, and dashboards. Manage and report on related activities to coordinate preparation for and response to incidents. Understand section’s role and responsibilities in applicable incident response plan, including incidents other than storms


  • Design, build and maintain reports and data dashboards to derive insights from Entergy’s incident preparedness and response data.

  • Manage System-level ICS (Incident Command System) projects and bring best practice ideas to applicable section/office.

  • Collaborate with System-level cross functional teams.

  • Serve as a liaison to System-level ICS organization in completing assigned tasks (e.g. exercise injects, after- action items, document updates, training assistance).

  • Evaluates incident response plans, procedures and responses to incidents and assists in the maintenance of Entergy’s incident response plans and procedures.

  • Responsible as the Records coordinator for the Incident Response department's official records.

  • Support the Incident Response organization in analyzing, managing and maintaining relevant data within applicable tools/applications (including storm records) and by delivering status reports and/or performance dashboards to prepare for response to incidents.

  • Develop and deliver responses to surveys and gather required data for RFI requests.

  • Provide continuity as ICS leadership changes occur.

  • Prepare for and perform critical role during incident response.


Minimum Experience:

  • IR Specialist: 2 to 4 years of experience

  • IR Specialist, Sr: 6+ years of experience

Minimum Education:

  • Requires a college or university degree in related field or the equivalent work experience.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work safely and in compliance with requirements under all conditions.

  • Ability to effectively organize, multi-task and proficiently manage projects.

  • Self-directed with moderate to significant discretion for planning and execution.

  • Knowledgeable in use of computer applications and software such as Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint).

  • Strong leadership, decision making and negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical and project management skills and business expertise.

  • Ability to translate knowledge of practices into well documented plans and procedures.

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Desired:

  • Strong knowledge of operational and incident management practices.

  • Ability to build and maintain PowerBI reports.
