Job Summary/Purpose

The Automation Developer will provide technical support and administration of the Automation Anywhere environment in support of Entergy’s enterprise-wide Automation program with participation from 10 different lines of business representing groups across the company. Additionally, provide technical support and training to bot developers across the Entergy organization.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Provide feedback to developers through code reviews for purposes of enhancing code reliability & adherence to coding standards. Research resolution of technical issues encountered during the process of bot development, Monitored runs of code in TEST and PROD environments.

Manage the schedule execution of multiple bots in the Test and Prod environment.

System Administration: Configuration and support of the Automation Anywhere platform used to host bots.

Provide training (1-on-1, video) for Automation Anywhere developers of various organizations including new updates as needed (inclusive of defining and communicating Best Practices)

Development of bots on the Automation Anywhere platform for streamline IT processes and supporting the development of bots in response to business needs

User Administration: provisioning of credentials, roles, licenses, and development environment (VDIs)

Submitting tickets through SNOW requesting access to the systems, software, network resources needed by the developer in creation of their bots.

Ensure development, test, and production execution environments are online and report execution errors to developers for bot remediation/correction.

Perform monitored runs in development, test, and production environments to ensure that bots execute properly in all environments.

Perform code reviews to ensure that bots comply with the standards and best practices developed and communicated by the COE team.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent experience

Minimum experience required of the position

3-5 years of experience within the IT industry

0-3 years of work experience in in RPA technologies (e.g. Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.). Preferred: Automation Anywhere

At least 6 months of end to end lifecycle of RPA process (i.e., from Requirement Gathering to BOT Deployment following Agile Methodology) and advanced automation development standards (ex. creation of Technical Design documents)

Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • .NET Core

  • Excel and Excel Automations – Advanced Skill Level

  • Mentor / Training / Coaching

  • VB Script

  • Database & Servers: MS SQL Server 2008/10/12/14

  • Access – SQL Query

  • Creation of standards and best practices

  • C#

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
