The Credit and Collection Manager will be responsible for managing related programs, policies and procedures to improve the timely collections of AR balances and improve cash flow for retail utility operations in each Jurisdiction in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. The manager will be accountable for ensuring that all regulatory rules and credit/collection laws are followed at every stage of account life, from application to receipt of final payment on inactive accounts.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure consistent implementation of Credit and Collection policies and procedures with full compliance surrounding regulatory and legal requirements

  • Build and manage a global team that meets and exceeds financial metrics, including aging of invoices/DSO, monthly collection targets, net write offs, and SLAs

  • Lead the development and execution of automated solutions to support standardized processes

  • Identify and manage ways to continuously improve credit operations and financial outcomes for company, stakeholders and customers

  • Work closely with internal teams to identify projects and areas for improvement that create efficiencies for the business

  • Establish and maintain good working relationship with internal and external customers

  • Actively communication of aged debt risks with the key stakeholders and work with the Finance Group to identify potential risks

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 7+ years of experience in credit and collections in a large enterprise OR Master’s Degree and minimum 5+ years of experience in credit and collections in a large enterprise.

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience leading people and teams preferred.

Preferred qualifications:

CPA designation

National Association of Credit Managers (NACM)
