Job Summary/Purpose

The Employment Compliance Manager will provide program leadership to Entergy’s EEO/OFCCP Compliance Program as directed by the Director, Organizational Health & Diversity, including establishing strategy, working with cross functional teams to build Affirmative Action Plans, reporting on them, working with appropriate stakeholders to address gaps and supporting any audit requirements. This will require some background in HR, Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) and Recruiting. In addition, OFCCP implementation experience along with audit and compliance experience would be useful.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing, planning and implementing Entergy’s EEO/OFCCP compliance and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) strategies. Serve as a key point of interface with senior leaders and stakeholder groups to communicate, support and monitor the execution of Entergy’s EEO/OFCCP compliance and D&I strategies throughout the enterprise.

  • Work closely with Talent Management and Human Resources Operation and other groups to ensure effective integration of EEO/OFCCP compliance requirements into recruiting, staffing, employee development and other talent management programs and processes.

  • Assist the Director, Organizational Health & Diversity, to ensure effective compilation and reporting of required EEO and affirmative action statistics (and reports) internally and to government agencies. Assist/lead the development and execution of management reporting and audit procedures that measure the effectiveness of company OFCCP programs and determine the degree to which goals and timetables have been attained. Oversee support staff in the analysis of employment activities such as applicant flow, new hires, terminations transfers and promotions to identify potential areas of focus and other opportunities to promote diversity initiatives and affirmative action (AA).

  • Develop and manage company-wide EEO/OFCCP and AA training. Provide consulting expertise to management and field HR in order to ensure that inclusion and EEO/OFCCP compliance are properly integrated into Entergy’s business culture.

  • Develop EEO/OFCCP compliance related communications and work with appropriate channels throughout the enterprise to effectively disseminate communications and monitor the subsequent impact on advancing EEO/OFCCP compliance objectives.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities at the discretion of the Director, Organizational Health & Diversity, and the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor’s degree in human resources/organizational development/business management or related degree area or equivalent experience.

Advanced degree preferred.

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in HR, Compliance or legal.

  • Deep knowledge of EEO, OFCCP, Affirmative Action and Diversity & Inclusion concepts.

  • Cross-departmental or cross-functional experience with increasing level of responsibility preferred.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Excellent interpersonal, communication, influence and analytical skills are a must. The individual must also have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Communication: Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization in both verbal and written communications; able to serve as an effective spokesperson on compliance related matters. Strong presentation skills.

  • Proactive: High level of energy to drive change; takes initiative to identify and act upon opportunities for improvement; proactively works to resolve issues and willing to raise concerns in an effective manner to drive action where needed. Requires minimal oversight in carrying out work responsibilities.

  • Organization: Well organized and able to successfully work on multiple activities/projects at the same time. Proven track record of effective project management and successful, timely completion of deliverables.

  • Active Listening: Able to listen for understanding. Open to new ideas; comfortable facilitating discussion around dissenting opinions.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
