JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

Seeking a driven, high-energy, multiskilled leader to support Entergy’s Continuous Improvement (CI) in achieving its strategic mission delivering sustainable value..

The Portfolio Analyst reports to the Director, CI Business Partner. The position’s primary objective is to support CI operational excellence objectives by providing coordination and integration of the Enterprise CI opportunity portfolio. Additionally, this role will develop reports and analysis from the Opportunity to Value management software and partner with vendors to develop software capability that meets the needs of the organization.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide insight, reports, dashboards, and recommendations to CI leadership regarding the O2V program health, measures, and goals that will move the CI organization and Business Units towards strategic objectives.

  • Analyze the enterprise portfolio of CI opportunities and provide insights on integration, progress, and barriers.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration on the guidance, support, and implementation of strategic initiatives.

  • Working with external vendors to ensure stable operations of theO2V (Shibumi) software application and the timely resolution of problems or incidents. Conduct root cause analysis of problems and facilitate the resolution of the underlying cause or development of appropriate work-arounds. Coordinate (including external vendor support, as needed) level 1 (broke-fix) support for the CI O2V application(s).

  • Oversight of vendor(s) in the implementation of new releases, upgrades, or enhancements. Ensure compliance with all project deployment methodologies, internal standards (e.g., Security, Enterprise Architecture (EA)), operational guidelines in support of CI's strategy and organizational objectives, and compliance with Entergy's stated disaster recovery processes.

  • Monitor external vendor performance against stated SLAs and performance expectations. Active management and transparent reporting of application performance to CI leadership.

  • Manage Shibumi assigned application, including configuration management and licenses. Ensure that existing SaaS conforms to Licensing, Security, and EA standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education and experience required of the position

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field.

  • Analyst III: 4-6 years professional experience with data analysis, visualization, and communication of operational performance OR in lieu of degree minimum 12 years of related professional experience.

  • Analyst Sr: 6-8 years professional experience with data analysis, visualization, and communication of operational performance OR in lieu of degree minimum 12 years of related professional experience.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Proficient with database management and basic coding

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving

  • Customer-focused mindset and strong interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interact, communicate and work with diverse groups of people

  • Self-starter who can work independently, manages time effectively and takes ownership of results

  • Ability to adjust style, as appropriate, to meet changing business needs, conditions and work responsibilities/priorities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to various levels of the organization

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results

  • Continuous improvement mindset
