Job Summary / Purpose
Role is responsible for directing and coordinating efforts with multiple corporate leaders across the organization to drive the development of the company’s financial plans through fact-based, financial data and analytics. Also, this position is a key advisor for the the Director of Corporate Planning and Director of Utility Finance and Strategy on financial results and plans, evaluating challenges to the plan, and making recommendations to adjust accordingly.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for consolidated Entergy financial forecast. The includes (a) ensuring that assumptions and modeling are reasonable and financial results accurately reflect expected results, and (b) reporting, including regular reports to the FBP lead team, the Utility Leadership Council, and the Chief Financial Officer. Provides expert support for Treasury in their interaction with the Credit Rating Agencies, and Investor Relations in earnings calls, investor conferences, etc.
Supports the financial planning process by maintaining governance over the several regulatory models and supporting the Operating Company Finance Directors in developing and maintaining regulatory assumptions. Provides corporate support for regulatory reports for external auditors, investor relations inquiries, and board meetings/retreats.
Provides analytical support and research for major utility initiatives. The key metrics, financial targets and other parameters of success used to evaluate performance are: accuracy of regulatory models and assumptions; achieving allowed return on equity of Entergy operating companies; maintaining investment-grade credit metrics for all Entergy operating companies.
Develops and maintains the Utility Sales and Revenue forecast, requiring close coordination with Load Forecasting and Operating Company resource planning teams. Reports results and provides input and analysis.
Minimum Requirements: Education
Requires a college or university degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent work experience).
Graduate degree (MBA or Masters in Finance or Accounting) highly desirable.

7+ years, with financial leadership roles
Desired: 10+ years financial leadership roles
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Interpersonal/leadership skills and ability to communicate externally and at all levels of the organization. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation. Proficiency in PC Windows environment and ability to work with financial planning models. Flexibility to work in an environment to meet the needs of the OCE and the Board given time-sensitive nature of work from time to time (which requires work beyond standard working hours). Knowledge of GAAP, FERC and regulatory accounting
Minimum Requirements: Certifications / Licenses
CFA or CPA desirable.
