This is a student intern position working through the Fall 2019 and Summer 2020 - candidate must live in the New Orleans area to work while attending classes.
Provides support on Information Technology (IT) applications, including geographic information systems (GIS), asset management, work management, CRM (PeopleSoft, SAP and SalesForce) systems. Primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Business Analyst, Solution Architect and Solution Operations teams with planning, design, development, testing, and operation of applications.
Provide operational support to the IT Department as needed
Support, analysis, and testing of computer systems and software
Perform audit and compliance activities for IT systems, including support of SOX/Audit activities
Look for ways to improve the overall IT processes, including process automation
Work with team members in the execution of the requirements process that translates user needs into functional specifications including the establishment of standards, use-cases, templates, and critical processes
Perform ServiceNow ticket audits
Work with project teams to support various enterprise projects (Grid Modernization, EAM, Alert, Windows10, Encryption/Data Masking, CI&S, Automation)
Minimum Education required of the position:
Pursing undergrad or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), Urban Studies and Planning, Business (Finance, Economics, or Accounting), Electrical Engineering or relevant field
GPA 2.85 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher
