Entergy Student, Intern - Occupational Safety & Health - Summer 2020 in New Orleans, Louisiana

This job will be filled in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is a student intern position - candidate must currently be enrolled in a degree program through August of 2020.

The primary responsibilities of this role include assisting with development of safety initiatives, promoting enterprise-wide safety programs, analyzing safety data, participation in field observations and developing safety training modules.
Provides support to Enterprise Safety day-to-day tasks
Participate in Enterprise Safety projects
Support data analysis operations
Prepares documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and interoffice correspondence
Assist with training development
Handles multiple assignments and works within deadlines
Proactive in forwarding work issues to appropriate managers/supervisors
Minimum Education required of the position:
Pursuing undergrad or master’s degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Safety, or related field
GPA 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
General industrial safety and occupational health knowledge
Self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills
Must be proficient in MS office tools - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent organizational skills
Strong and positive team attitude and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize work and to handle multiple tasks
Ability to understand scope and objective of each assignment
