This official title of this position will be an Analyst Sr or Sr lead and the level of the selected incumbent will depend on skills and qualifications. This position may be filled in New Orleans, La or Woodlands, Tx.
The Supply Chain Business Analyst Sr Lead reports to the Manager, Supply Chain Enablement – Strategy, Performance & Analytics, and often works closely with the Chief Supply Officer and his/her team. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing an enterprise-wide supply chain performance planning, measurement, and management framework along with the associated analytical and technical/system support services to support that framework.
Performance data must be transparent, deliver insight, and underpin forward looking business decisions so that Entergy can grow a World class energy business. This position will work closely with all Supply Chain departments and their internal customers to define, allocate resources to and manage the strategic plan that will deliver our performance and analytics roadmap.
At all times put safety first, actively promote safety in both the office environment and on-site/off-site visits at Entergy or supplier sites. Monitor and influence suppliers and other stakeholders to proactively identify safety concerns.
Execute a multi-year analytics roadmap to transform how the Supply Chain department uses information for decision support and process improvement.
Facilitate the sourcing cost savings validation process with all Supply Chain departments, Supply Chain internal customers and Entergy’s Finance department.
Partner with and maintain relationship with the Finance Business Partner team and on occasion provide ad-hoc financial reports and analysis.
Coordinate and drive the collection, verification and reporting of Supply Chain’s executive level metrics and initiatives.
Coordinate and drive the Supply Chain leadership team’s development of performance goals, target setting and tracking – including incentive metrics and organizational KPIs.
Provide reporting in support of Supply Chain’s talent management strategy (Recruit, Develop, Deploy and Retain) and organizational capability and development framework.
Visualize content (e.g. layouts, charts, graphics) to deliver powerful messaging in conjunction with written content.
Provide ad-hoc presentation support to Supply Chain leadership for executive and board of director events.
Lead and support Supply Chain benchmarking activities by providing Supply Chain performance and cost information to third party benchmarking organizations and consultants.
Support the portfolio of projects that comprise the Supply Chain strategic plan by tracking and monitoring milestones needed to achieve delivery.
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience.
Master in Business Administration or related advanced degree preferred.
Minimum experience required of the position
Sr Analyst - At least 6+ years of professional experience.
Sr Lead Analyst - 8+ years of professional experience.
Desired knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Ability to gather requirements, formulate metrics, and convert data analysis into tangible reporting products.
Working knowledge of performance metrics. Experience with data management, report design, data visualization and presentation techniques.
Advanced proficiency in MS Suite, experience with BI reporting tools such as MS PowerBI.
Adept at queries and report writing.
Familiarity with financial data; benchmarking experience a plus.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong attention to detail regarding design and user experience.
Intermediate level presentation skills including to management and executive audiences.
Strong conceptualization skills for converting ideas and mockups into practical tools.
Communicates clearly and concisely to individuals and groups – both written and verbally.
Ability to apply Project Management principles.
Team oriented and flexible with proven track record in collaborating with multiple stakeholders and driving results, especially via influence management.
Ability to work with diverse, cross-functional teams(Finance, Legal, Safety, Suppliers, etc.).
Ability to train, coach, and mentor other Supply Chain Enablement team members.
Support and advocate for the Supply Chain organization, within and outside Supply Chain.
