Job Summary/Purpose:

Responsible for developing Entergy’s financial plans, budgets and performance mechanisms to support the business strategy to achieve stakeholder outcomes; monitoring and reporting actual results; providing business insights to support key business decisions; providing applicable support and insights for Entergy's senior leadership and Board; and effectively partnering with leaders across the enterprise.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the processes to develop Entergy-wide financial plans, scenarios, budgets and financial management reporting and insights on related results.

  • Utilize financial/regulatory/customer/business plan insights to support business decisions and to effectively partner with Line of Business and Functional leaders, as well as peers across Entergy.

  • Pro-actively manage issues and risk mitigation; develop and facilitate process to drive this outcome.

  • Operate as a key liaison for investor relations processes to support external financial messaging on business plans and performance against plan.

  • Provide applicable support for Entergy's Board, including development of materials for the Finance Committee, financial plan and results for Entergy Board, and coordination of business plan presentations for annual Board Retreat.

  • Coordinate with strategic planning process to support implementation of strategy and integration into strategic financial plan; provide insights into financial plan and regulatory or business plans that need to be addressed to deliver on stakeholder outcomes; participate in discussions to advance progress on plans at Office of the Chief Executive, Strategy Group or other key leadership meetings.

  • Actively engage to improve the planning and budget process (efficiency and effectiveness), including higher level of collaboration between Finance Business Partners, Regulatory Services, Operating Company's regulatory teams, Customer Organization, System Planning and finance organizations.

  • Lead and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, including Director, Finance Business Partners and their teams to provide insightful, impactful and strategic advice to their business units.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum education required of the position

  • College or university degree in related field from an accredited institution. Advanced degree preferred, e.g., MBA, CPA.

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 10+ years in related work; Strong understanding of utility industry business models preferred. Proven track record of accomplishments and successful business interface internally and externally.

  • Ability to demonstrate and articulate analytical information, capabilities, and opportunities to functional and executive leaders based on a clear understanding of company and strategy and objectives

  • Strong financial modeling, statistical and commercial analytics skills


  • Demonstrated leadership experience in building and developing teams

  • Effective project and team management skills

  • Mentoring and coaching capabilities while fostering an environment of accountability and empowerment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Must be self-motivated, have high integrity and credibility and be able to work independently

  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
