This position may be filled as an Engineer III or SR. depending on qualifications and experience.
Create solutions to electronic obsolescence issues and act as a liaison for Maintenance Department electronic repair challenges.
Provide reverse engineered solutions to obsolescent electronic components through circuit analysis, prototyping, testing and implementation.
Issue design changes for reverse engineered modifications while maintaining system configuration control.
Develop bridging strategies on obsolete components for continued system utilization.
Act as a knowledge resource for electronic expertise, emergent repairs and complex troubleshooting.
Serve on outage engineering support teams. Attend training and maintain qualifications necessary to perform required group functions.
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or other closely related scientific discipline/physical science generally associated with power plant operations or equivalent work experience (equivalent experience defined as demonstrated success at the engineer/technical level.)
Minimum experience required of the position
Engineer, III: 3 – 5 years of experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level
Engineer, Sr: 6+ years of experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Experience in electronic troubleshooting and repair, good communication skills, proficiency in PC use and applications.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position
Desired: Professional Engineering license
