This position may be filled as a Receipt Inspector II-III depending on experience.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

The Site Receipt Inspector performs a material receiving, inspection and dedication function at a nuclear site(s) and the role requires ANSI N45.2.6 Level II or III certification. The RI utilizes and applies moderate knowledge and experience across the breadth of responsibilities assigned to this position during the implementation of inspection, examination and testing procedures for the receipt and dedication of purchased material:

  • Planning inspections, examinations and tests;

  • Setting up tests, including preparation and setup of related equipment, as appropriate;

  • Supervising or maintaining surveillance over the inspections, examinations and tests;

  • Supervising and training less experienced personnel;

  • Reporting inspection, examination and testing results;

  • Evaluating the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and test results;

  • Recording inspections, examinations and testing data.

The Receipt Inspector evaluates the adequacy of specific programs used to train and certify inspection and test personnel in accordance with ANSI N45.2.6 and program requirements.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety/Human Performance:

  • Actively promote strong safety behaviors and ensure the team always puts safety first;

  • Utilize key tools, programs, and proactive field visits to assure standards and behaviors;

  • Monitor and influence suppliers to proactively identify any safety concerns.

Incident Response:

  • Perform storm role duties as assigned through the Storm Assignment Management System (SAMS) or Nuclear Emergency Response Organization (ERO) support.

  • Perform inspections, examinations and testing to ANSI/ASME N45.2.6 requirements associated with the receipt and dedication of purchased material in accordance with procedures and/or industry practices.

  • Plan inspections, evaluations, and tests; setting up test including preparation and set-up of related equipment.

  • Evaluate the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and testing results.

  • Report inspection, examination and testing results.

  • Supervise equivalent level or junior level staff; provide coaching and guidance in day to day activities.

  • Evaluating the adequacy of specific programs used to train and test inspection, examination and testing personnel.

  • Qualify to ANSI/ASME N45.2.6 requirements lower and same level personnel.

  • Perform warehousing functions as required, interfacing with other supply chain departments.

  • Perform DPIC functions assigned by the Procurement Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education and experience required of the position

Receipt Inspector II - 6 years of experience. Experience in nuclear power design, construction, maintenance, operations, warehouse, PS&O, or equivalent. Previous experience in a laboratory environment. Must meet ANSI/ASME N45.2.6 minimum requirements.

Receipt Inspector III - 8 years of experience in nuclear power design, construction, maintenance, operations, warehouse, PS&O, or equivalent. Previous experience in a laboratory environment. Must meet ANSI/ASME N45.2.6 minimum requirements.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Technical

  • Advanced knowledge of nuclear and other regulatory quality requirements, specifically pertaining to materials receiving;

  • Advanced Knowledge and working experience in nuclear procurement processes, procedures and practices;

  • Understanding of how receipt inspection responsibilities interface with other supply chain departments;

  • Knowledge of How Entergy Procures and Buys (HEBAP) policy;

  • Advanced knowledge of, and working skills in, Inventory and Material Control software systems, and other common computer applications;

  • Advanced knowledge of inventory management processes, procedures, practices and tools;

  • Advanced knowledge of materials’ warehousing processes, practices and tools;

  • Qualified to the Departmental, Performance Improvement Coordinator requirements; Familiarization Guide (FFAM-CAA-DPIC).

Professional

  • Application of project management principles to ensure systematic, thorough completion of assignments;

  • Ability to communicate with all stakeholders, delivering key messages concisely, and supported by relevant information;

  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) with demonstrated ability to frame complex problems;

  • Ability to coach/train others in job responsibilities;

  • Ability to build broad relationships and effective networks with all stakeholder
