Responsible for maintaining expertise in scheduling practices and Programs. Oversight of site implementation of fleet practices in scheduling both online and outage. Responsible for the development and direction but not the coding for all automatic interfaces between the Work Management System (Passport), eSOMS Safety Tags, PCRS, any future corporate software package and the Scheduling System (Primavera).


  • Serves as the Team Lead and Facilitator for the Entergy Fleet Primavera Core Team. Provide direct governance over the practices and approaches used by fleet schedulers in the building and management of fleet schedules. Report to the Director, Fleet Production any issues of non-conformance in tooling and approaches in the fleet.

  • Primary interface between the Primavera Core Team, SAIC Nuclear Apps Group, eSOMS project Manager and the Indus Fleet Core Teams for the Scheduling System. Primary Lead for interfacing between Entergy Nuclear and Primavera including software licensing needs.

  • Creates and maintains various fleet documentation such as a master list of all interfaced fields between Passport, eSOMS, PCRS and the Primavera database and desktop guides. Develops and maintains the official Entergy Nuclear list of approved Global Activity, Global Project and Global User Defined code fields. Adjusts the actual codes in the Primavera Suite of software to reflect just those codes. Controls security rights and standardization of all global and site specific codes in the software.

  • Assists in fleet pre-outage assessments focusing on scheduling quality, metric analysis, and logic ties.

  • Performs periodic site visits to determine schedule quality and work management meeting effectiveness and determine any improvement needs for site scheduling. Works with the fleet site administrators to work out an acceptable yearly cycle of Team face-to-face meetings for Interface enhancements, testing and Primavera User Conference attendance. Plans for, coordinates and leads those meetings including action tracking of issue resolution and detailed progress reports to the Director, Fleet Production. Maintains Remedy qualifications and works Remedy Cases as needed for Primavera and related sub-systems.

  • Trains or coaches Entergy Fleet schedulers as needed. Develops plans and programs for the training and development of fleet schedulers to the level of proficiency and skill required of an outage scheduler. The goal is to provide a virtual fleet of scheduling talent that can be shared throughout the fleet. Provides scheduling assistance to the stations as required.


Minimum education required of the position

Scheduler I: Technical degree or other scientific discipline generally associated with power plant operations or equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position

0 to 4 years of scheduling experience utilizing the nuclear with Primavera Software in an industrial environment.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Demonstrated high level of proficiency and skill in the use of the Primavera scheduling tools with at least 5 years of active scheduling using that tool. Participation in active industry forums and vendor meetings driving the development of scheduling tools and techniques for the industry and related industries.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

SRO/RO license or certification on a PWR or BWR (desired).
