This will be a hybrid remote role, with the expectations that the employee is able to report to the plant on an as needed basis.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Partner with Key Stakeholders to Achieve Objectives: Provide expert financial advice and information to support timely decision making

  • BOC: Develop a clear, concise financial story that highlights financial performance and recommendations to address challenges that impact the site’s strategic direction

  • Budget meetings: Deliver guidance and support to ensure actionable information and advice is provided to facilitate timely decision making

  • Provide Leverage for the Manager: Manage daily FBP activity and elevate priority items to keep the manager abreast of the situation

  • Ad-hoc: Serve as key point of contact related to the sites financial performance and strategic direction

  • Support Timely Regulatory Mechanisms: Proactively identify opportunities to optimize planning and regulatory inputs to maximize recovery

  • Rate Case/Filing Support: Collaborate with regulatory team to proactively identify information required for rate filing and guide analysts to timely address requests

  • Project Timing Optimization: Partner with site leadership to proactively identify opportunities to optimize project timing to maximize regulatory recovery

  • Ad-Hoc: Support OFD, regulatory team or PSC to address requests regarding the site’s expected financial performance and strategic direction

  • Facilitate Financial Planning: Collaborate with Nuclear and jurisdictional leadership to develop the strategic direction and financial plan to align with company and regulatory objectives

  • Forecasting: Assess implications of the latest financial forecasts on company and regulatory objectives and generate recommendations to address challenges

  • MPRC/ECRG: Provide guidance on project execution timing to optimize regulatory recovery

  • PE Management: Communicate implications of incremental funding requests on the site’s strategic plan and the downstream impact on regulatory planning efforts

  • Year End Planning: Collaborate with analysts to identify opportunities to optimize the financial plan and communicate recommendations to leadership

  • Ad-hoc: Support corporate planning by providing guidance on modifications to planning inputs and the impact on the strategic direction

  • Serve as the Financial Conscience: Monitor and analyze financial results, proactively identify risks and opportunities, and clearly communicate performance to drive accountability

  • Pre-variance/COO Book/MRP: Validate analyst product accurately reflects the site’s financial position and strategic direction

  • ROP: Assess forecast inputs and actuals to proactively identify risk and opportunities and raise concern with necessary parties

  • Ensure Financial Accuracy: Ensure all financial activity at the site contains accurate information and is executed timely

  • P2R Actualized Forecast/Checkbook: Guide analysts by ensuring their input supports the site’s financial story

  • Final Reviewer: Ensure analyst work product aligns with expectations and the site’s financial story

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field, and 7+ years of relevant experience is required or in lieu of a degree 11+ years of relevant experience is required.

MBA is a plus

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position

CPA or CFA is a plus
