This position will be filled as Fin Tech Process Analyst or Fin Tech Process Analyst, Sr, depending on experience level.

Job Summary/Purpose

Continuous Improvement (CI) is a key priority in Entergy’s journey to be a Premier Utility. Working alongside the corporate CI team, the Technology Team in Finance supports the Finance organization’s CI goals by identifying, developing, deploying, and supporting technology solutions such as process automation.

The Process Analyst will be a part of the Finance Technology Team within the Finance Strategic Initiatives Group. The analyst will work directly with Finance process owners in understanding current and future-state user processes. as well as writing design specifications and acceptance criteria for automation solutions. In addition, the process analyst will also coordinate the team’s development sprint activities to build and deploy deliverables on schedule and according to user requirements.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  1. The Process Analyst will perform the following activities in identifying, creating specifications, testing, and delivering technology solutions to Finance process owners:
  • Based on a detailed understanding of the performance of processes, services, and customer feedback, identify opportunities to charter automation.

  • Utilize LEAN and related skills to facilitate end-to-end process mapping sessions and drive teams to re-design processes to be more efficient, including the application of technology for further automation.

  • Utilize Agile development experience in facilitating the team’s Agile sprint ceremonies to plan and deliver solutions as well as improving the team’s development processes.

  • Develop business cases for automation opportunities and present and propose to senior management for approval.

  • Collects data from Continuous Improvement Business Partners and Business SMEs to support identifying, submitting and evaluating automation opportunities including processes to support Automation Lifecycle phases from registration through delivery

  • Provide regular status updates to management regarding the status of automation efforts and escalate issues to management as necessary.

  • Help Entergy continuously improve its process improvement approach, methodology, tools, and techniques based on learnings from automation/process improvement efforts.

  • Develop communications materials and provide presentations to management and staff regarding automation/process improvement efforts (for individual performance improvement efforts and for the program overall)

  1. The Process Analyst will coordinate with the corporate Continuous Improvement teams in defining and helping to implement best practices in identifying and documenting CI opportunities through process mining and documentation methods. Under the direction of more senior members of the Finance Technology team, this analyst will implement such best practices, standards, and policies within the team’s process analysis and documentation processes.

  2. The Process Analyst will gain and maintain knowledge on current and emerging technologies and methodologies relevant to topics such as continuous improvement, digital transformation, process automation, process mining, etc.

  3. The Process Analyst will provide leadership and mentorship to more junior members of the Finance Technology team.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education & experience required of the position

  • Process Analyst - Bachelor’s degree in a technical, operational, and/or business-related field and 4-6 years of experience with project management preferably in an Agile development environment, process mapping, governance model development, strategic thinking, relationship management, situational assessment and reporting, shared services or corporate center experience, or, in lieu of degree, 8+ years of experience with project management preferably in an Agile development environment, process mapping, governance model development, strategic thinking, relationship management, situational assessment and reporting, shared services or corporate center experience

  • Process Analyst Sr - Bachelor’s degree in a technical, operational, and/or business-related field and 6+ years of experience with project management preferably in an Agile development environment, process mapping, governance model development, strategic thinking, relationship management, situational assessment and reporting, shared services or corporate center experienceor, in lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience with project management preferably in an Agile development environment, process mapping, governance model development, strategic thinking, relationship management, situational assessment and reporting, shared services or corporate center experience

  • Process Analyst Sr - Experience leading teams and supervising other analysts preferred.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

  • Substantial process mapping experience. Experience with process optimization.

  • Knowledge and experience with process management tools and methodologies, including Agile development.

  • Knowledge of intelligent automation and cognitive platforms, including Automation Anywhere.

  • Relentless in the pursuit of excellence & problem solving.

  • (Process Analyst Sr) Ability to lead and direct activities of more junior analysts on the team.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position

Project management certifications such as PMP preferred
