This position of Supplier Diversity Inclusion and Sustainability (SDIS) analyst provides analytical support to create, drive and maintain effective reporting to support local diverse and sustainable sourcing within the supply chain organization in support of Entergy’s environmental and social governance (ESG) commitments. This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Supplier Diversity Inclusion and Sustainability.


  • Support existing data and analytics needs for the SDIS team inclusive of planned and ad hoc requests

  • Extrapolate data for use in executive level report outs and debriefs ensuring accuracy, consistence and preserving data integrity.

  • Interpret data and derive informed insights from the data sets

  • Understand SDIS strategy and propose forward looking KPI’s and metrics to ensure measurement and tracking to targets

  • Collect data for SDIS third party benchmarking efforts, in addition to data collection to support Annual Reports, quarterly updates and the like.

  • Employ continuous improvement processes to improve the way in which data is collected, utilized and accessed by SC team members and internal stakeholders

  • Educate Entergy internal stakeholders on the interpreting data and reporting tools used to track SDIS commitments.

  • Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather, organize and report qualitative and quantitative performance results

  • Support or lead development of analysis, metrics and information necessary to report externally on SDIS performance

  • Assist in conducting periodic updates to the internal group SharePoint site and the external sustainability website by coordinating with various company SMEs to ensure data is current and accurate

  • Ensure data accuracy through data enrichment and associated activities

  • Assist departmental staff in other program areas as requested


Minimum education and experience required of the position

  • Analyst I: Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, environmental studies, information technologyor related discipline and0-2 years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of degree, minimum 4-6 years of relevant professional experience is required.

  • Analyst II: Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, environmental studies, information technologyor related discipline andof relevant professional experience and 2-4 yearsof relevant professional experience. In lieu of degree, minimum 6-8 years of relevant professional experience is required.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic to moderate understanding of database organization and metrics reporting

  • Moderate to strong database management experience or experience with diverse and local spend as well as sustainability programs

  • Moderate to strong understanding of the case for diversity, diverse and local supplier inclusion and sustainability.

  • Ability to function and perform independently with minimal supervision and execute tasks within the prescribed timelines

  • Ability to create effective working relationships with department staff, SMEs and utility and organizational contacts

  • Ability to engage directly with internal stakeholders on SDIS inquiries and data requests

  • Highly proficient in MS Office, namely Excel, Word, Power Point and SharePoint. Highly proficient in Power BI and building queries from a data lake. Experience with spreadsheet macros, pivot tables etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
