The preferred location for this position to be filled is New Orleans, LA, but other Entergy locations in Houston, TX or Jackson, MS may be considered.
Job Summary/Purpose
Under the direction of the Manager, Portfolio Reporting this position is responsible for comprehensive reporting on the Distribution portfolio. The objective of the reporting is to provide tools to leadership that allow for proper governance and oversight - ultimately to ensure that the work within the Distribution Plan and Grid Modernization portfolios is performed with cost and schedule certainty and outcomes are achieved. Responsibilities include preparation and delivery of key communications to leaders, project members and stakeholders on overall portfolio work progress, issues, and risks including a regular cadence of status updates, and various white paper analysis as needed. This position will also be responsible for the financial planning and reporting cycle for Distribution and will be a key point of contact with FBP for the PE process.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Comprehensive reporting on the Distribution portfolio to ensure accurate representation of key performance indicators for planning and value realization and progress tracking.
Development and preparation of reports that track progress, key performance indicators and ultimate success.
Ensures clear, timely and accurate project status reports for management. Preparation of reports and presentations to management and issues status reports as required. Identifies, makes timely decisions and takes prompt action on issues that could impact components of portfolio performance. Promptly communicates issues to leadership.
Executes process for preparing for and reporting on project, program and portfolio cost, schedule, risk for both Distribution Plan and GridMod governance bodies.
Design, develop, and maintain a portfolio dashboard with key performance indicators and metrics that assist in assessing and measuring successful progress toward project delivery and benefits outcomes.
Monitors and reports on compliance with capital project and SOX controls.
Executes the financial planning and reporting cycle for Distribution.
Develops material for communicating for regulatory purposes on portfolio progress.
Prepare and provide key communications to leaders, project members and stakeholders on a regular cadence portfolio work progress, issues, and risks including regular status updates, and various white paper analysis.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business related field required or equivalent work experience,
Desired: B.S. in Engineering, Finance or Accounting
Minimum experience required of the position
Analyst Sr: 6+ years professional experience
Analyst Sr Lead: 8+ year of professional experience
Preferred : Utility capital project experience
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Strong analytical and reporting skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point
Report and dashboard development skills with either PowerBi or Tableau
Data query skills using information data bases such as COGNOS and other data lake information repositories
Bias for action, excellent attention to detail and relentless commitment to follow-through
Ability to multi-task and handle various projects simultaneously to drive timely results
Ability to prioritize effectively and facilitate action across remote groups
Excellent communication skills
Highly organized, able to prioritize and work under pressure on a number of projects at the same time.
