JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees the implementation of NERC programs to ensure full compliance with all applicable NERC standards for Nuclear

  • Works effectively with corporate NERC Compliance and Station personnel to confirm applicable requirements are met

  • Develops plans, schedules, procedures, tools and processes required to establish and maintain a comprehensive Nuclear NERC Compliance Program

  • Oversight to ensure applicable Nuclear training programs meet NERC requirements

  • Assist in the performance of NERC Compliance Assessments.

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Nuclear NERC responsibilities.

  • Fully develop assigned programs/processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or other closely related scientific discipline / physical science generally associated with power plant operations, or equivalent work experience (equivalent experience is defined as demonstrated success at the Engineer / Technical Specialist level.)

Minimum experience required of the position

  • Engineer I: 0 – 2 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level

  • Engineer II: 2 – 4 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level

  • Engineer III: 3 – 5 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level

  • Engineer Sr: 4 – 6 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Knowledge and understanding of safe and acceptable engineering practices and principles

  • Ability to analyze large amounts of technical data and structure such information for the purposes of clearly documenting and demonstrating compliance with all applicable NERC Reliability Compliance standards

  • Ability to formulate and communicate thoughts and ideas developed into cogent guidance for personnel

  • Excellent writing and analytical skills and an ability to communicate information in both formal and informal settings

  • Proficient technical expertise with computer software

  • Strong interpersonal, and leadership skills

  • Strongly Preferred: Experience in NERC compliance activities.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

  • Desired: Professional Engineering license.
