This position primarily focuses on the analytical support of Business Development activities in total with emphasis on the ultimate location of industrial prospects. Support associated with the expansion/retention of existing large industrial customers along with some commercial customers/prospects will also be in scope. Position reports to the Director, Business and Economic Development. However, matrixed collaboration with economic development project managers, community development specialists, and industrial account executives should be expected.
Assist Economic Development team with RFI/ RFP Response
Support project managers with GIS-based mapping and analysis
Analyze regional economic trends at macro and industry category levels
Prepare presentations of various economic reports associated with common economic development statistics e.g. workforce, demographics, infrastructure, taxes, etc.
Management and reporting of project / prospect lead lists in a CRM program
Management of growth measurements and sales reports
Support the development of departmental business plan(s)
Oversight of Entergy Texas’s statewide sites and buildings database
Analyst II - Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business related field and 2+ years of professional experience OR in lieu of degree a minimum of 3+ years of professional experience.
Analyst III - Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business related field and 4+ years of professional experience OR in lieu of degree a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience.
MBA is preferred; Prior economic development industry experience / exposure is a plus.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Demonstrate a strong level of quantitative skills and comprehensive knowledge of working with Excel, PowerPoint, Esri GIS mapping/analysis and data management, Google Earth Pro, and CRM software and other business intelligence and analytical tools is highly desirable.
