Entergy’s Power Generation group operates a fleet of 28 active natural gas, coal, oil, hydroelectric and solar facilities, with the capacity to generate more than 17,000 megawatts. In addition, Power Generation is building and acquiring new natural gas and solar generating facilities to join with the company’s nuclear group in owning and operating approximately 30,000 megawatts of electric generating capacity.

This position is in Power Generation Business Support group. Business Support oversees a broad range of processes and programs in areas such as Generation Performance Reporting, Acquisition Integration, Incident Response, Incentives, Automation, Regulatory Support, Enterprise Risk Management and Sarbanes-Oxley, Compliance and Ad Hoc Analysis, to name a few.

We are seeking a driven, high-energy, analyst to support Power Generation in achieving its strategic direction of operational excellence.


Primary job responsibilities are to provide professional staff support in varied activities including but not limited to: Change Management, Automation development and, Analytical support.

Change Management:

  • Successful candidate must be able to work independently to both strategize and tactically execute change management processes.

  • Develop and execute the OCM (Organizational Change Management) strategy and comprehensive transition and sustainment plans to support the business strategy

  • Develop and execute OCM deliverables designed to engage employees, which could include, but is not limited to, communications, leadership alignment, and business readiness

  • Develop and deliver presentations to all levels of the organization

  • Collaborate with PGEN Training Department to design, develop and deliver change management training, and/or lead a team to design, develop and deliver change management training

  • Identify risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop plans to mitigate these

  • Develop key messages, leadership messages and overarching communications that deliver consistent messaging to stakeholders

  • Collaborate with operations, other support groups and business partners to seek input and prioritize OCM deliverables

  • Report ongoing change management status and stakeholder readiness

  • Check and adjust as needed for ad hoc change management and communication needs

  • Continue to perform ongoing change management support and become the subject matter expert to ensure sustained long-term use and execution of the process

Automation Technology Development:

  • Work with Power Generation automation team on identifying and developing automation solutions

  • Interface with Power Generation personnel on process requirements and identifying opportunities to streamline

  • Opportunity to attend training on Automation Anywhere to learn new technology

  • Opportunity to work on automation projects from development to production

  • Work with SharePoint Design to improve the sites and tools used within Business Support

Ad Hoc Assignments and Analytical support:

  • Perform ongoing data and analytical support for various initiatives and projects

  • Perform Ad Hoc Analysis and other support assignments that fall under the business support umbrella


Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Desired: Business, Technical or related field

Minimum Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Experience leading teams through influence

  • Experience developing processes and work products from cradle to grave

  • Demonstrated experience of independently developing and executing plans and deliverables

  • Embraces teamwork and a high level of collaboration

  • Experience developing training criteria and delivering training

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience in SharePoint Design Tools and other database tools such as Power BI

  • Experience in developing macros in Excel and database design is a plus

  • Desired: Experience working in a support function team environment and leading through influence

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to facilitate and lead teams to drive processes and programs through to completion

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to work within deadlines

  • Recognizes data inconsistencies and irregularities and works to resolve issues and reports to management

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting

  • Strong attention to details

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Self-starter and requires little or no supervision

  • Capability to produce analyses that range from quick response through detailed documents

  • Capacity to adapt to changing work priorities

  • Knowledge of business, automation technology, compliance, and regulation, a plus

  • Project Management skills a plus

  • Knowledge of power generation fundamentals a plus

  • Open to learning new skills

  • Work may require some travel out of the office approximately 25%
