This position is for an intern - must be enrolled in an accredited degree program matching the minimum requirements to be considered. This position is local to The Woodland area - not a remote position.
The DER engineering intern will support the growing DER planning needs. The primary duties of the position will include distribution system modeling and analytic techniques to perform hosting capacity studies, customer's adoption forecasting, future capacity additions, and identify reliability improvement opportunities
Studies performed by the position will be shared within Entergy to support the various initiatives underway that have an need which will ultimately impact Entergy’s generation assets, load resources, customer view, and product and services offered to the customer.
Support planning analysis on hosting capacity, and reliability improvement opportunities
Develop DERs models and simulation plans in distribution planning tools
Communicate solutions/results from planning analysis and models
Interact with functional leaders across multiple and concurrent projects
(required) Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
(nice-to-have) Current enrollment in a Master’s degree in engineering field.
(nice-to-have) Experience working with distribution planning model.
(nice-to-have) Experience in developing and delivering presentations.
